Maria G. Guajardo (Rivera) went to be with our Lord on December 25, 2016, surrounded by her entire immediate family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband John Guajardo, her parents Guadalupe Rivera and Aurora Rivera, brother Guillermo Rivera and sister Rosalinda Soto. She leaves behind two brothers, Rogelio Rivera and George Rivera. She is survived by her 6 children, Junior and wife Laura Cepeda, Maria Aurora Cepeda, Arnold and wife Joann Cepeda, Isabel and husband Joe Carvajal, Juanita and husband Israel Garza, and Saul Guajardo. She has 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
She was a beautiful person who brought joy to everyone in her life. The most wonderful moment that will be missed by family and friends is that she never failed to sing "Las Mañanitas" to each and everyone one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, including special friends, on their birthdays. If they didn't answer their phones, she sang to their voicemails. She will be missed and may she rest in peace.
