Mrs. Maria Hát Thúy Đỗ, 72, was born on March 3, 1947 in Bui Chu, Viet nam; returned to Father’s House on Saturday, May 25, 2019 peacefully at home in Houston, TX.

Maria was a devoted mother and an entrepreneur for 52 years. Without any formal education, Maria successfully conducted multiple businesses in the metropolis of Saigon, Vietnam to Houston, TX to supplement her husband’s income. A deeply devout Catholic Christian, Maria was a member of Dong Ba Daminh of Lady of Lavang Church.

Predeceased by her father, 2 younger brothers, and a younger sister, Maria is survived by her husband Bao Huu Hoang; 4 children: Krystine Oanh Bui (husband David Tuan Bui), Kim Chau Hoang, Tien Hoang (husband Kevin Chien Nguyen), Joseph Hoang; 2 grandchildren: Brian Bui and Brina Bui. Maria is also survived by younger sisters and brothers: Do Quynh Ca, Do Van Minh, Do Cam Nhung, Do Bach Tuyet, Do Hoang Chanh, Do Kim Thoa, Do Ngoc Hoang, and Do Quynh Kim.

Maria's family will be receiving friends on Thursday May 30, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 10 am at Lady of Lavang Church, 12320 Old Foltin Rd., Houston, TX 77086. Burial will be at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, Greenlawn Cemetery, 13120 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.  Maria Hat Thuy Do will be missed dearly by her family and friends
