Maria Le Thi Canh

Mrs. Canh Thi Nguyen passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the age of 88 in Spring, TX. She was born the eldest daughter on December 31, 1924 in Giao Thuy hamlet, Dai Loc county, Quang Nam province, Viet Nam. She had been married to her husband, Mr. Lan Nguyen (deceased), since 1943 and they had ten children, with the eldest son and daughter having passed away early in their infancy. The family resided in Da Nang, Viet Nam before they immigrated to the United States in 1975. She and her husband settled in Tahlequah, OK where they raised the family of eight children while she worked at Tahlequah City Hospital for 13 years. She and her husband retired in 1988, then moved to Spring, TX and lived near their children and their families.

Mrs. Nguyen was preceded by her husband who passed away in 2012 and her youngest daughter Thanh Thuy Nguyen who passed away in 1992. She is survived by her seven children: eldest daughter Thu Suong Moore and husband DeWayne, daughters Thanh Suong Becker, Thu Thuy Johnson and husband Dana; eldest son Van Linh Nguyen and wife Dung, sons Lam Nguyen, Lim Nguyen and wife Lieu, youngest son Ngoc Linh Nguyen and wife Xuyen. She also has twelve grand children.

Cụ Bà Maria Lê Thị Cảnh vừa qua đời hôm Thứ Bảy, ngày 4 tháng 5 năm 2013, tại thành phố Spring, tiểu bang Texas, Mỹ quốc. Cụ Bà thượng thọ 88 tuổi. Cụ là trưởng nữ, sanh ngày 31 tháng 12, năm 1924 tại làng Giao Thủy, huyện Đại Lộc, tỉnh Quảng Nam, Việt Nam. Cụ Bà cùng Cụ Ông Nguyễn Lân thành hôn năm 1943, tại thành phố Ái Nghỉa, tỉnh Quảng Nam. Ông Bà có mười người con, với trưởng nam và trưởng nữ mất sớm lúc còn thơ ấu. Gia đình Cụ cư ngụ tại thành phố Đà Nẵng trước khi nhập quốc Mỹ vào năm 1975. Hai Ông Bà định cư tại thành phố Tahlequah, tiểu bang Oklahoma, nuôi nấng tám người con. Cụ Bà làm việt tại nhà thương thành phố Tahlequah trong 13 năm. Sao khi về hưu năm 1988, Hai Ông Bà dời về thành phố Spring sống gần con cháu. Cụ Ông Nguyễn Lân qua đời năm 2012. Út nữ của Cụ, Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thủy qua đời năm 1992. Gia đình Ông Bà hiện còn lại gồm có ba người con gái: trưởng nữ Thu Sương Moore và rể là DeWayne, thứ nữ Thanh Sương Becker, thứ nữ Thu Thủy Johnson và rể là Dana; và bốn người con trai: trưởng nam Nguyễn Văn Linh và dâu là Dung, thứ nam Nguyễn Lâm, thứ nam Nguyễn Lim và dâu là Liễu, út nam Nguyễn Ngọc Linh và dâu là Xuyến. Đại gia đình Cụ hiện có 7 cháu nội và 5 cháu ngoại.
