She was devoted to her family and worked as a homemaker most of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Martinez; daughters, Marisol Flores, Mayra Martinez Gonzalez; grandchildren, Robert, Mya, Lunna, Timothy, Karyme, Carlos, Julian, Sophia; Great-grandson, Adan Lopez and sisters, Gloria Lopez, Sylvia Marquez and Irma Ruiz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Esther Vargas, Reyes Ruiz and brother, Rigoberto Ruiz.
Serving as pallbearers, Octavio Flores, Carlos Gonzalez, Robert Herrera, Carlos Martinez Gonzalez, Julian Gonzalez and Timothy Southerland.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home , Family Room Chapel , 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, on April 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at St Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Rd, Houston, TX 77039, US, on April 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on April 9, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
