She is preceded in death by Basilo Turrubiartes and Christopher Turrubiartes.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Raul Turrubiartes, Nelly Ibarra and her husband, Noe Ibarra, Ricky Turrubiartes and his wife, Silvia Turrubiartes.

She was a beloved grandmother to Noel J. Ibarra, Kevin R. Ibarra, Ricky J. Turrubiartes, Lynette Hoyos, Irlanda Sanchez, Christopher Z. Turrubiartes, Katherine Ibarra, Joshua Turrubiartes, David Turrubiartes, and Sarah Ibarra. She was a great-grandmother to Gabriel Staton, Mya Hoyos, Maximiliano Turrubiartes, Kevin C. Ibarra, and Kaitlyn Ibarra.

A visitation for Maria will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A reception will occur Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
