We will greatly miss our beloved Mrs. Galloway!! She was and will continue to be an amazing inspiration to teachers and children from all over the world and especially in the heart of Texans!! We love you and miss you!!

From the moment you enter the doors of The Galloway School you feel Mrs. Galloway's spirit of warmth, home and love of children.  I have heard so many fun stories about this amazing lady of Texas and her keen wit and sense of adventure. I had the honor of meeting her two years ago shortly after she acquired her beloved chihuahua,, "Mr. G". On her 103rd birthday, March 2, 2015, the students sang her a Texas-style happy birthday on video. We were told she watched it 3 times in a row! Everyone associated with The Galloway School, past, present, and future will receive many blessings from their experience at this amazing school she envisioned and built. Thank you Mrs. Galloway for loving and caring so much for others. We will continue to honor your life at The Galloway School by ensuring your school continues to chart a visionary path of excellence in a warm and inclusive school environment.

Marie will be greatly missed by so many.  She was a spirited angel here on earth.  Marie made everyone comfortable, and was a true Texas pioneer.

Mrs. Galloway will be greatly missed by many. She and Mr. Galloway left a lasting legacy with the YMCA over the years and will continue in their name. I had a chance to meet her in 2007 at YMCA Camp Cullen and what an incredibly kind soul she had. She has touched the lives of so many in need, many prayers to her family and friends left to mourn her, but please celebrate her and her generosity - she will shine bright in heaven!

Mrs. Galloway or "Mrs. G" (as many of her closest friends knew her) was and will always be such an inspiration to not only myself but many others.  She was a woman who could light up a room with her smile and entertain with her quick wit and humor. With that twinkle in her eye and that smile you couldn't help but love her!  She was always young in both heart and mind and I cannot imagine a day without her in this world. She was a true Texas woman who loved life, entertaining, the ranch, and her family. Her positive support of education and of The Galloway School inspired all of us to provide the very best education to every child who passed through those doors. It is sad to say goodbye to the real "Yellow  Rose of Texas" but the special memories we shared will live on through generations to come.

Mrs. Galloway had a heart of gold, loved children and treasured watching them learn and grow under the tutelage of wonderful teachers, present and past, at the Galloway School. She will be greatly missed! She is doing a happy little dance in heaven with her sweetheart! It has been our honor and privilege to know Mrs. Marie Galloway.

Mrs. Galloway supported teaching and learning at Texas A&M University through contributions to the Center for Teaching Excellence. She helped advance teaching in ways that will continue for years to come. She had a keen insight for how to 'make a difference'.

There are no words that can express the sadness and emptiness felt by all of us who have ever been connected with Marie Galloway.  A woman of integrity who was never afraid to speak up, a woman whose wit and energy surpassed us all, a staunch supporter of her Aggies, and a lady who was fiercely passionate about providing the best educational experience possible for her "children" at The Galloway School.  The impact she had on my life was tremendous and I am so very grateful for her presence in my life.

Not a day of my life, until today, has there not been an Aunt Marie as my dear friend, confidant, family history professor, cheerleader, gatekeeper, gracious hostess, role model, firecracker, faithful Aggie, nature conservationist, modestly brilliant, Christ-inspired, bluebonnet adorer.....unconditionally loving aunt. She was a blessing to many as her compassionate outreach touched those far and wide.  I am so proud to be in that group and celebrate her memory today...always.

Mrs. Galloway was a champion for education and loved all of the children that passed thru the doors at The Galloway School.  She also supported the students attending Texas A&M University.  She was kind, gracious, and quick witted.  It was very hard to get the best of her!
