Marilou Camarillo

Marilou “Toche” Camarillo Rios, age 82, passed away on January 6, 2026 in Pearland, TX. Marilou was born in Doctor Coss, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on April 8, 1943 to the late Aristeo and Julia Rios. She is preceded in death by her husband Castulo Camarillo Jr. and sister Julia Alicia Rios.

Marilou is survived by her sisters Manuela Garcia, Minerva Garza, Imelda Cuellar, and brother Aristeo Rios along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In 1988, she married Castulo Camarillo Jr. and together they settled in the Houston Hobby area. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Together they would travel the United States to attend annual reunions with the 1st Cavalry Division Association. Marilou and her husband were members of the American Legion and would spend their free time volunteering at community events.

Marilou enjoyed baking cakes, especially Tres Leches Cake (her specialty). Marilou always had a love for dogs.

Marilou’s kindness, laughter, and love will always be remembered by those she touched.

Visitation will be held at the American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, on January 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue on January 20, 2026, from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm.

The Committal Service will follow at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, on January 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
