Marilyn was born in Harbine, Nebraska on April 2, 1939, and was the youngest of eight children. She graduated from High School in Burlington CO, and attended Houston Community College. She worked 30 years for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch. She spoke highly of superiors and co-workers and enjoyed her work. She was the first female officer of the Houston branch. Her life was strongly influenced by her childhood Christian religious beliefs practiced throughout her life. Marilyn always attributed her strengths to ideas that were instilled in her by her parents and brothers and sisters.
Marilyn and her husband Al enjoyed dancing together, and many weekends they were likely to gather with friends to dance the hours away. She loved to laugh, but also knew when to be serious. You could count on her to be there, arrive early and always prepared for what needed to be done. Her circle of friends was wide and she felt close to them all. Other hobbies included cooking, baking, corresponding often, and socializing with family and friends. She was strong in character and dedicated to family. She will be missed but certainly not forgotten by those who loved her.
