I was so very fortunate to have my Aunt Marion as my Godmother. I always felt so loved by her. Some of my most cherished memories from childhood are of time spent with her and the Newitt family. She had the sweetest soul. My love is with you as you mourn her loss.

It's hard to believe that 45 years ago this summer, Susie and I came from Denton to the campus in the Medical Center. In a very short time, Susie was bringing me to your house for a meal. It was immediate love for you and Mr. Newitt, your soft voice with that southern accent, and most of all your cooking. You became my "other mother." The many long evenings of being part of a family gathering have never been forgotten. Thank you for being you and giving me my only sister. Love you.

I’ve met you a few times. You’re my “Besties Mom” Thank you for being. And living your life to its fullest. Otherwise I wouldn’t have met Susan!

Prayers for you and your family to ease through this transition!

Absolutely the kindest, gentlest person I have ever known! From that Louisiana accent which I can hear right now to a smile as big as Texas, I enjoyed knowing you Marion and you truly will be missed. Heaven has gained an incredible angel. God bless the Newitt family.
