Marjorie Jane Chadwick

MARJORIE JANE MCALISTER CHADWICK, 73, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Jane was born on January 8, 1949, in Birmingham, AL and was raised in Bessemer. While attending Auburn University, Jane met her future husband, Charley, who was attending the University of Alabama. They then married and settled in Houston, TX. A working mother of two, Jane completed her college degree via night classes at the University of Houston Downtown. She pursued a career in teaching the sciences at Cypress Springs High School. Jane retired to Tarpon Springs, FL where she enjoyed many adventures with her beloved grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charley, father, Walter “Joseph” McAlister, mother, Marjorie Jane Slockett McAlister, and brother, Ronald McAlister. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen, son, Dan and wife Salley, brother, Walter Albert McAlister and wife Carol Jean, grandchildren, Kailyn, Ethan, Lea, and Lachlan, as well as many cherished family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, at 9:00 am and the funeral service at 11:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home Cypress Creek. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm via escorted cortѐge at the Houston National Cemetery
