Marjorie Elaine Duval, aged 99, passed away on December 31, 2025. Born on November 15, 1926, Marjorie was a resident of Houston, Texas. She was known for being inspirational, kind-hearted, and hard-working.
Marjorie grew up in Jonesboro, Louisiana, where she attended trade school and became a bookkeeper. She worked in this role for nine years before "retiring" to become the wife of Ned Duval. After their marriage, the couple moved to Houston and raised their two boys, John and Clint. Marjorie was also a devoted grandmother to Clay, Neil, and Ross, and great-grandmother to Cayden and Chloe. She is also survived by her brother Edward Ewing , sister n law Karen Ewing, and sister Deardean Ewing ---all from Ruston, LA
Marjorie loved to have a garden every year and became a wonderful cook. Her amazing cooking was one of the many reasons her family cherished her. She attended Westbury Methodist Church, where she enjoyed all of the church activities, especially quilting.
Marjorie will be remembered as a devoted friend, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The family would like to express a special thank-you to Betty, Evelyn, and Claudette, who cared for Marjorie during her last few years. Also, a special thank-you to her "third" son, Louis.
A viewing will be held on January 7, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, followed by a committal service at 1:00 pm. Active pallbearers will be Clay Duval, Neil Duval, Ross Duval, and Clint Duval.
