Mark Aaron Luna, age 44, of Livingston, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Mark was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and recently gained the status of Grandpa. His vibrant spirit and love for life left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Born on December 12, 1980, Mark grew up on the Northside of Houston, Texas, where he began his journey into adulthood. During those early years, he shared a life with Tiffany, and together they welcomed their daughter, Felicity, into the world—his firstborn and a proud beginning to his role as a father.
Mark later settled in Livingston, Texas, where he built a life with his beloved wife, Stephanie. Together, they created a loving home and welcomed their youngest, Joe. In total, Mark was a proud father to six children: Felicity, Mark Jr., Nathan, Mariah, Joe, and his stepdaughter, Hailey. This year Mark also welcomed his first grandchild, Kasaun into his family. His love for them was evident in everything he did, and they were his greatest joy and legacy.
Mark also had a deep connection with nature. He found peace in the outdoors, especially while fishing—his favorite way to spend a quiet morning or a lazy afternoon. Those who knew Mark also knew about his love for chickens, particularly roosters. He was an avid and passionate rooster lover—so much so that no one could recall a time when he didn't have one nearby.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; his children Felicity, Mark Jr., Nathan, Mariah, Joe, Hailey, grandson Kasaun; his devoted parents, Catherine and Joe; and his brothers, Anthony and Leo. Mark was also an uncle to many cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss his humor, stories, and steady presence.
Mark’s brothers fondly recall the many family vacations packed into their dad’s old GMC truck—trips filled with laughter, outdoor adventures, and the kind of memories that last a lifetime. Mark lived a life full of heart, humor, and authenticity. He was a man who stayed true to himself and took pride in his family, his roots, and his passions. His absence will be deeply felt, but the stories, love, and laughter he shared will remain alive in all who knew him.
The celebration of Mark’s life where family and friends will gather to honor the man who meant so much to so many will began Friday, July 11, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. With the funeral occurring Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:30 AM, burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
