

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark “Milkshake” Scott, who left us on July 17, 2024 at the age of 56. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 28, 1967, Mark was the beloved son of Evelyn McAbee and the late O’Neal Scott Sr.
Mark was widowed from the first love of his life, Marie White Scott, whose memory he cherished deeply. Mark and Marie brought four children into the world during their marriage. Mark was a loving father and grandfather, and his family was the center of his world. He leaves behind his seven children: Raymonia, Markesa, Venashia, Marquishah, Ramon and Mark Twain DeReginald; and one son in love, Anthony. He also adored his 14 grandchildren: Iyc’Cyaas, Keith, Amya, Anthony III, LaMarcus, Aaliyah, Rain Marie, Juelz, Santana, Markiela, Makayren, Kingston, Elijah, Makayren who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He is preceded in death by his father, O’Neal Scott Sr.; his brother, Founda; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Known affectionately as “Milkshake,” Mark’s warm personality and infectious laughter touched the lives of everyone he met. His childhood in Chicago was filled with love and chasing women. Mark loved listening to music and having his family around.
Mark’s professional journey was marked by dedication and hard work as a butcher, later pursuing welding. He was respected by his colleagues and admired for his unwavering commitment to excellence. Mark always prioritized his family and loved the idea of mentoring young people. Mark’s legacy of strong hustler to be a great father and resilience will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Williams; siblings, Reginald, Kalvin, Timothy, O’neal Jr. and Fredericka; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. A memorial service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held on August 17, 2024 at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor his remarkable journey. Mark “Milkshake” Scott’s life was a beacon of love and kindness. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, Mark. Your memory will forever live in our hearts.
A funeral services for Mark will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, followed by a visitation from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
