Mark Andrew Torres, 52, was unexpectedly called home by His Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 23, 2022. In accepting God’s Will, Mark’s family prays that our grief to be replaced soon by the clearest of memories of that beautiful smile, with his waving back while walking amongst an endless sea of our loved ones who preceded him in death, cheering his arrival into the Kingdom of Heaven. Please pray with us.

During a 20-year banking career Mark served as a Private Banking Vice President at both Sterling Bank and prior to that Bank of America. During an 18 month period, while at Bank of America Mark was ranked the top producing officer in the Houston market.
Most recently Mark was very excited about integrating his consulting business into a new partnership focused on, his specialty, the design of financial products. The business plan was directed at meeting the untapped needs of small business owners in the death care and other industries.
Mark also had a wealth of knowledge regarding any genre of music, any decade of movies and loved overall general trivia. He could tell you the names of music artists, dates of recordings, song lyrics and answer any question regarding the Beatles without hesitation. He also had a tremendous thirst for family history and would love to ask you about your favorite family story or your favorite childhood memory.
Mark loved to entertain with his impromptu music group at every opportunity as lead singer and also loved to cook. Mark’s extremely creative mind allowed him to come up with the most amazing recipes to everyone’s delight and enjoyment.
He loved sports and eagerly awaited the baseball and football seasons each year. He loved watching the Astro’s baseball and discussing each year’s strategy. Mark was a very loyal fan and loved the Houston Oilers. It took quite some time before he was able to look forward and really enjoy the Houston Texans.
