

Marlene Palmer Clinard, 85, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, September 1, 2016. She was born August 4, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is preceded in eternal life by her husband, Fred Wellington Clinard and her son, David Wellington Clinard.
She spent most of her adult life volunteering at her children's schools for special projects and at Houston's First Baptist Church in the television and church news-letter ministries. She was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching as well as using her creative ideas for many projects. She helped HFBC's Faith Mission Center every December, gift wrapping for their Christmas store.
Marlene is survived by her daughter Carol Montgomery, her son-in-law Monty Montgomery, and their children Meylssa Montgomery and James Montgomery. Marlene adored her great granddaughter, Robin Montgomery (Melyssa's daughter). She is also survived by her beloved brother "Flip" Palmer and his wife Eleanor Palmer and their daughter Marilyn. Her beloved brother-in-law Chuck Beckham and his wife Helen Clinard Beckham and their two children, Rick and Susan. Brother-in-law Ralph Clinard and his wife Laura Clinard. Sisters-in-law Bonnie Springer and Sandy Clinard. Ralph and Sandy's children Korinne, Kristi, Michael and his wife Kim, and Andrea and her husband Clay Bishop. Marlene had a sweet relationship with each one of her nieces and nephews. She had true friends whom she loved and respected. Roger Bridgwater and his sweet wife Mary Ann Bridgwater and their children Kay Altic and Jane Ann Borde.
There will be a Memorial Service for Marlene at Houston First Baptist Church at 7401 Katy Freeway on September 8, 2016 at 11:00 am.
