Marline Smith

Dorothy Marline Long, daughter of Marion and Rosie Long, was born September 8, 1936 on their family farm in Texarkana, Arkansas where she grew up with her sister Ruth. Together they enjoyed riding their horse named Pat and later Marline enjoyed barrel racing too.

On April 16, 1952 Marlene married Don Smith and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary before Don passed away in 2017. They raised 2 children: Richard Preston and Reshae Leigh.

Marlene was a faithful member of the Hidden Valley church of Christ since Its beginning and she invited everyone she met to attend worship services with her. Marlene is survived by her daughter Reshae McDonald and husband Wess and her sister Ruth Strong. Marlene has two grandchildren: Kayla Shannon with her husband Kevin and Ty Walker. She has one great grandson Kadin Shannon. Marlene has one niece, Gwen Dodd, and 2 great nephews Marty and Mike Jackson all of whom she was

very proud.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law Aaron Walker, her husband and her son, Richard.
