Martha graduated Abilene Christian College in 1931 then worked in Dallas where she met A.B. “Swampy” Palmer, whom she married in 1935.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Nancy; son-in-law, Von Edelmon; and daughter, Diane Andrews; grandchildren, Lisa, Mark, Karen, Brian and Suzanne; and ten great-grandchildren.
Her lovely azalea gardens mirrored her determined and positive spirit in faith and family.

The funeral service is to be conducted at half-past ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 18th of December, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
Following the service, an escorted cortege will depart for Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, where the interment service is to be conducted.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in memory of Mrs. Palmer may be directed to Sunny Glen Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1373, San Benito, TX, 78586; or to the charity of one’s choice.
