Mrs. Vega was a very special lady and a person I remember fondly. She offered help and love to all in the J. R. Harris family .She was my mentor and teacher aid for many years and she could run the whole school on her own if need be. But above all she loved her Lord and Savior and her love for children was always demonstrated in every thing she did. She blessed my life and I know her memory will continue to be a blessing.

I will always remember her sweet words and touch. I loved when she would always asked about me and my son Josiah. She'd give me inspirational books and tell me that she loved me as one of her own grandaughter. Im so sorry she left this world with this covid. I hate this, but shes no longer in pain but in peace. Have a great time in heaven and we will all see you soon!

So many memories of my Grandma. So many of my friends remember her from Harris. Strict but fair is what they always say. My memories are the same, but filled with love. She taught me so much about life, God, faith, and family. We still need your prayers Grandma to get through this. Prayers, faith, and God's blessings are lessons that I cherish. Always thankful for God's blessings. No matter the situation. Love you forever.

Mrs. Vega worked at John R Harris Elementary as a teacher aide and that is where we became acquainted. She was a very hard worker and was liked by the teachers and students as well. Her positive manner was always a joy to be around. She will definitely be missed by all who knew her.

This is the last picture we took together.
I will miss your gentle voice and laughter. When I call, I always expected to hear your voice and then hand the phone to grandpa. No matter what you made it clear that we are family and family stays together.
I am more than grateful to have called you grandma.
