

Martin Leon Miller, 73, of Houston, Texas, passed away March 31, 2020. He was born in LaGrange, Texas on July 8, 1946 to Leon Ludwick Miller and Katherine Mary Kraeski. He was married to Linda Mae Miller for 46 years. Martin Leon Miller worked for Electrician & IT Technician/Manager for HL&P (Houston Lighting & Power) Floating Point Systems where he started his IT career with a few more stops on his way to where he retired from Lumina Geophysical. He was a member of CP/M Users Group (Control Program for Microcomputers) & Steel Guitar Association.
He had a passion for working on computers as well as playing country music on his favorite Gibson Electric Guitar or his Sierra Steel Guitar. When he wanted his quiet time, he would settle down with the newest addition to the Mack Bolan book series. Leon as he was known to by his colleagues and friends started his knowledge of computers in the late 60’s while serving the US Navy. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served from ’66 to ’69. After his service to the US Navy he was an electrician up in North Dakota working on the Missile Bases where he met his bride Linda, the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Katherine and Leon Miller, Sister Barbara Carter, Sister Shara Moore, Brother Jack A. Miller, Brother Louis A. Miller, Stepfather VC Jones, Brother-in-Laws Benno Kahanek and Buddy Carter.
He is survived by “Butch” as known by the family is survived by wife Linda Miller, Son John Miller, Granddaughter Karissa Miller, Sisters Betty Kahanek and Kathy “Kenneth” Miesse, Brothers Michael “Connie” Miller and Donald “Debbie” Miller, Stepmom Shirley Jones and Many Nieces and Nephews. His “Musical” family were all the band members and people that he had met and had the honor of playing with.
