Marvin Ernesto Lara was born on February 25, 1968 in San Salvador, El Salvador to Elena Isabel Lopez and Rodolfo Lara. He was the third child out of five children.
Growing up, his nickname was "El Zurdo" due to being predominantly left-handed. He attended Colegio Don Bosco from 1983 through 1985 and played basketball as a starter on their basketball team. Basketball was his passion, even after his retirement from the sport, he followed the NBA closely. His favorite team during the mid-80s and early 90s was the Los Angeles
Lakers and his favorite player was Magic Johnson. Other interests of his were listening to music, preferably, from the Bee Gees and he enjoyed doodling art.
He lived a quiet life by staying away from anything that would steer him off the right path. According to his mother and siblings, he was the calmest one in the family. When he found our Lord and Savior, he enjoyed reading The Bible daily, attended Bible Studies and other church activities. He always kept his inner child spirit alive as he enjoyed joking and making others laugh. He would call family and acted like he was another family member as a silly joke. For sure, it was never a dull moment with him.
During his life, aside from raising his two children, he helped raise his nephews and nieces. He was known as the Family Chef during the holidays because he enjoyed making Brisket, Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice, and Ceviche.
He leaves to cherish his memory; Beloved Daughter Jacqueline Lara, Beloved Son Moises Lara, Mother Elena Lopez, Sister Aida Vasquez (Samuel Antonio Vasquez), Brother Jose Lara, Sister Lesbia Lara (Giovanni Mendoza), Brother Roberto Lara and nephews and nieces along with a host of many other family and friends.
