Marvin H Rhodes

Dusty was born in Malakoff, Texas on October 25, 1935, to the late Ada Francis Huffines. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 29, 1954 with the 1st Calvary Division, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment and was honorably discharged on December 29, 1956. Following his enlistment, Dusty married the late Suzanne Rhodes on June 16, 1959. He worked at Entex for 38 years as a service supervisor until his retirement. During his leisure time he enjoyed playing guitar, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. Dusty was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend that will be greatly missed to all who knew and loved him. He will remain in the hearts and memories of everyone who loved him forever.

Dusty is preceded in death by his grandmother; Clifford Mae Crenshaw, his mother; Ada Francis Huffines, and his beloved wife; Suzanne Rhodes.

Dusty is survived by his daughter; Ann Krienke, his sons; Greg and Atheline Rhodes, and Gary Rhodes, his grandchildren; Nicole and Daniel Hernandez, Crystal and Matthew James, Stephen Rhodes, and Taylor Robertson, his great grandchildren; Carter and Kinsley James, and Bentley Rhodes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home in the Family Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home in the Family Chapel followed with a burial in Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery.
