After graduating from El Campo High School, Marvin joined the United States Air Force. He enjoyed serving his country while stationed in Europe. Upon honorable discharge from the Air Force, Marvin had a career in Avionics and worked for Shell Oil Company for 25 years before retiring in 2005. Marvin had a passion for cars, motorcycles and outdoor projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lillie Stepan.
He is survived by his daughter Laurie Stepan; his daughter Christa Hartman and her husband Mark; his grandchildren Eton Stepan, Evan Stepan, Chase Hartman, Caitlyn Gould and her husband Zach; his great-grandchild Poppy Gould.
Marvin will be remembered for his sense of humor and his strong belief in service and loyalty. A committal service will be held at Houston National Cemetery.
