Mary C. Cantu

Mary was a woman of great Catholic faith, her connection to God was lived every day not just on Sundays. She was more than a wife, a mother, a grandmother - she was an angel. Put on this earth to cherish and protect anyone who stepped into her life from family, friends, to pets. She taught us independence through communion. We will love & honor you forever Maria.

She is survived by her three sons, Reuben Jr., Johnny, and George, along with their significant others. She is also survived by her two sisters, Virginia and Estella, and her three brothers, Johnny, Joe, and Freddie. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Guadalupe; her husband, Ruben Cantu; her brothers, Mike, Lupe Jr., Pete, and Tony; and her sisters, Carmen, Helen, Esther, and Linda.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087, US, on March 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at the same location on March 18, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087, US, on March 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on March 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
