

Mary Frances Dial, age 93, of Pasadena, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born in Dotson, Texas on February 15, 1930. She was one of twelve children born to the marriage of Thomas Preston “T.P.” and Mary Etta Childs Murphy.
Mary Frances was raised in Dotson, Texas and graduated from Carthage High School. She married Ralph Eugene Dial on November 15, 1952. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Mary Frances worked at Hughes Tool for a short period of time. She then dedicated her time to her family as a homemaker. She was a long time member of 2nd Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas. Then moved to South Main Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas where she was part of the “Mavericks” Sunday School Class. Some of her past times included working in her flowerbeds, feeding the hummingbirds, and cooking.
She is preceded in death by beloved husband, Ralph Eugene Dial; parents; brothers, James Willie Murphy and wife Irmarea, Rayford (Mutt) Murphy and wife Viola, Jeff Murphy, Elmore Murphy and wife Levene, Preston (Junior) Murphy and wife Billie; sisters, Era Weatherly and husband Alton, Thelma Harvey and husband Johnny, Audry Murphy Hill and husband Reverend B.C., Wilma Stokes Lunsford, Ouida Griffith and husband LeRoy and Dorothy Smith and husband John.
Mary Frances is survived by her son, Tony and wife Shirley, and granddaughter Brittny O’Bryan from Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

A visitation for Mary Frances will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
