

MARY FRANCES FLOYD was born May 30, 1929, to Wyatt MacDonald and Arbry Harper Smith in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was surrounded by her husband, JB Floyd, and her family when she went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. She was a faithful and devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Mary lived her life honoring God and investing in others. She loved working with preschoolers, teaching children and adults in Sunday School for over 50 years, singing in the choir, and opening her home to family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph Bascom (JB) Floyd; her sister Imogene Maerz, sons John and Douglas Floyd; daughter-in-law Debbie Kneisel Floyd; six grandchildren – Cara Rucker, Leah Callahan, Laura Barnes, Matthew Floyd, Lesley Branscum; six great grandchildren –Richie, Brett and Josie Callahan, Brandon Rucker, Austin Barnes, Hannah Branscum; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, at Brookside Funeral Home, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, at Memorial Baptist Church, 22333 Kuykendahl, Spring, Texas, and the burial will be held at Brookside Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.
