Mary Ann Lipps

Mary Ann was born in 1934 in Gorman, Texas to Cody Love and Pauline Baker Love. S Mary Ann was an associate’s graduate of Tarleton State University and Married William H. Lipps (Bill) in February of 1957. She went on to have a family and spend the next 50 years in ministry and service with Bill.

Mary was a woman of great faith and believed early on in her life that God had called her to special service and so loved the Lord and his people. She began serving as a pastor’s wife. She also served as area and local officer in the Woman’s Missionary Union, taught Sunday School, worked with Acteens and Girls in Action. She believed in the power of prayer and was committed to praying for those she encountered. She retired from Houston’s First Baptist Church in Membership Services.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bill; her parents, Cody and Pauline Love; her brother Robert Love, and many aunts and uncles.

Mary leaves behind her 2 children LeAnn Robertson, (husband, Russell) and James Lipps; Her 6 grandchildren: Zachariah, Gabrielle Billey (husband, David), Mikaela, Hannah, Faith and Canaan and one great-grandchild, Isaiah Robertson also her niece Kathy Tokerude (husband Mark), and Kyle Love (wife Fran) as well as many, many other friends and relatives.

Services will be held in the chapel of Houston’s First Baptist Church on Sunday, January 29th at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Houston, TX.
