Mary Longoria Sears

As a child, Mary moved to Houston. She was a graduate of Reagan High School Class of 1950

She married, had two children, worked many years for an orthopedic surgeon, then Conoco Oil.

Mary started her career as a Houston small business owner with Westpark Secretariat in 1968.

She married Don Sears in 1979. They were both active members of Ascension Episcopal Church for many years, serving as lay readers and on the rectory. Mary's activities included gardening, Bible Study, middle school tutoring, and sewing. She retired from her business in 1985, first working as an IBM Rep, then as a business personal manager.

Mary and her husband Don traveled extensively, many times for change of seasons in New England.

She enjoyed taking a trip to Europe with church friends in 2005.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Don, in 2004. She is survived by two sons, Chris Parkerson (Ranelle) and Larry Parkerson (Suzy), sister Jean Danna, 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

There will be a family burial at Forest Park Cemetery on Westheimer at Dairy Ashford. A Memorial Service

will follow at 1 PM at Ascension Episcopal Church, 2525 Seagler Rd. Houston TX, 77042.
