Mary Norma (nee Gregurek) Speck, beloved wife, mother and "Nonne" to her granddaughters, went to Heaven on Sunday, the 27th of January 2013. Norma was born in Ganado, Texas, on the 20th of November 1929, to Stanley and Lena Gregurek. Her favorite Saint, whom she prayed to always, was St. Theresa, “The Little Flower.” She found great joy in gardening and put great love and care into her flowers and plants. She also loved cooking for her family and watching her granddaughters grow into remarkable young women.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles F. Speck, Jr.; her parents, Stanley and Lena; and her brother, Jerry L. Gregurek. She is survived by three sons, David (Beth), Michael (Sharon), and Stephen (Beth Ann); her adored granddaughters, Laura, Emily, Annie, Kalyn and Kelly; her sister, Ailen Cantrell; and numerous nephews and nieces.
“We all look forward to seeing you again some day, in that beautiful garden of Heaven.”
