Mary Evangeline "Eve" Stilson

Mary Evangeline “Eve” Stilson went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022 at the age of 92. Eve was born on December 27, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas. She graduated from San Jacinto Senior High School in Houston in 1947 and married Donald "Don" Earl Stilson on August 29, 1948. The Lord blessed them with four children.

Eve was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and sewing, playing ladies tennis, singing, playing the piano and later, spending time with her grandchildren. She was formerly a member of the Prime Time Singers. Eve and Don attended Pine Valley Bible Church. Eve was a longtime member of the Camp Peniel Ladies Auxiliary where she served as a past secretary. Together, Eve and Don sang in the church choir, played doubles tennis, and traveled the world.

Eve was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Don Stilson, and her son, Dennis Mark Stilson. She is survived by her daughters Denyse and Donna, and son Derek. Eve had five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Her service will be held on May 13, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home followed by a burial service at 4:00 PM in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. A reception will follow.
