Mary Gilda Thibodeaux

Mary Gilda Thibodeaux went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2015. She was born on October 13, 1914 in Opelousas, Louisiana to parents Maurice and Onelia Guidry. Mary moved to Houston to marry Theo Thibodeaux on December 28, 1937. She was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Houston for years and was an active member of the Alter and Rosary Society, the Ladies Auxiliary, and Le Fleur-De-Lis.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband Theo and daughter Delores and her husband Willie. Mary is survived by her children; Sister Sandra Thibodeaux MMB, Diane Jackson, Theo Gene Thibodeaux, Jr., Robert J. Thibodeaux and his wife Donna and Geralyn Flenoy and her husband Tony; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, December 28, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with a Rosary at 10:00 AM at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, 4000 Sumpter St., Houston, Texas 77220. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on December 28, 2015 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church followed by rite of committal at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
