OBITUARY
Mary D. White
January 24, 1927 – April 24, 2012
Mary Dawsey White beloved wife and loving mother and grandmother, departed this world for her eternal life with God on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Mobile, Alabama to Thomas Leo and Mary Dawsey, where she lived before marrying William (Bill) White and eventually settling in Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Thomas Leo Dawsey, Jr. Mary is survived by her husband, Bill, her three daughters, Betty Ann McNair (Duane) of Katy, TX, Beverly White of Katy, TX and Diana Riis (Gary) of Sugar Land, TX. She leaves behind two grandsons, William (Will) McNair and John (Travis) McNair. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Dawsey and Betty Moore (both of Mobile, AL), her remaining brother, Robert (Bob) Dawsey (Loretta) of Houston, TX, sister-in-law Helen Dawsey of San Antonio, TX, nieces and nephews and some very spoiled "granddogs". Mary treasured being with her family and devoted her life to her husband and to raising her three girls. All who knew her will miss her sense of humor, her endearing ways and that distinctive southern drawl that she never lost despite living in Houston for almost 50 years. A funeral mass is scheduled this Friday, April 27 at 11:00 am, St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church, 10503 Westheimer, Houston, TX , with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 that morning. A reception will immediately follow the funeral mass. The Rite of Committal and burial will take place on Monday, April 30, in Mobile at Pine Crest Cemetery. Mary/Mama/GrandMary, we love you always and will miss you so. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to your favorite charity .

I will always remember our chats about "save your skin Patricia...get out of that sun" and "heart smart" eating tips. You have been such a part of my upbringing and I will always remember your kind sweet voice, your smile and the blessings your daughters have brought to my life. May you feel the loving embrace of God's arms and may your family be assured you are peaceful.

May your family find peace in the God of all comfort during this difficult time.
