Mateo Samuel Vasquez

Mateo Samuel Vasquez, precious baby boy of Anne-Wilson Smith and Daniel Vasquez, was born into the arms of angels Monday, March 6th, 2023 at 2:50 am at Houston Methodist Hospital in The Woodlands, TX. Born at 36 weeks, Mateo weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 21 inches long. Although he did not spend any time with us here on Earth, he was very loved and touched many lives. Our little angel will never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother Suzanne McDaniel; paternal Great-Grandfather Ramon Vasquez; maternal Great-Parents L. Edward and Anne Williams and Bennie and Janice McDaniel; and Uncle Matthew McDaniel.

In addition to his parents, Anne and Daniel, Mateo is survived by his big sister Emory Smith; his maternal Grandfather, Anthony McDaniel; his paternal Grandparents Samuel and Aida Vasquez; his paternal Great-Grandmothers Elena Lopez and Emelina Vasquez Fuentes; Uncles Emerson Lara and Christian Vasquez; and Aunts Guadalupe Lara and Jeannie Moore. He is also survived by many Great-Aunts and Great-Uncles as well as cousins who all loved him dearly.

Services for our angel baby, Mateo, will be held on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023, at Brookside Funeral Home located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Visitation will be held from 12pm-2pm in the Family Chapel and the funeral service will begin at 2pm. There will be a graveside service following the funeral.

We ask that you please wear white and baby blue in honor of our sweet boy.

Mateo Samuel Vásquez, el precioso bebé de Anne-Wilson Smith y Daniel Vásquez, nació en los brazos de los ángeles el lunes 6 de marzo de 2023 a las 2:50 am en el Hospital Metodista de Houston en The Woodlands, TX. Nacido a las 36 semanas, Mateo pesó 7 libras y 2 onzas y medía 21 pulgadas de largo. Aunque no pasó ningún tiempo con nosotros aquí en la tierra, fue muy querido y tocó muchas vidas. Nuestro angelito nunca será olvidado.

Le precedieron en la muerte su abuela materna Suzanne McDaniel; el bisabuelo paterno Ramón Vásquez; los bisabuelos maternos L. Edward y Anne Williams y Bennie y Janice McDaniel; y el tío Matthew McDaniel.

Además de sus padres, Anne y Daniel, a Mateo le sobreviven su hermana mayor, Emory Smith; su abuelo materno, Anthony McDaniel; sus abuelos paternos Samuel y Aida Vasquez; sus bisabuelas paternas Elena López y Emelina Vásquez Fuentes; los tíos Emerson Lara y Christian Vasquez; y las tías Guadalupe Lara y Jeannie Moore. También le sobreviven muchas tías abuelas y tíos abuelos, así como primos que lo amaban mucho.

Los servicios para nuestro bebé ángel, Mateo, se llevarán a cabo el miércoles 15 de marzo de 2023 en Brookside Funeral Home ubicada en 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. El velorio se llevará a cabo de 12:00 p. m. a 2:00 p. m. en la Capilla Familiar y el servicio funerario comenzará a las 14 hs. Habrá un servicio junto a la tumba después del funeral.
