Maxie Covel, age 81, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2010 in Houston Texas. Maxie was born in D’Lo Mississippi, and attended school in Mendahall, Mississippi. She is survived by her husband Edmund Covel, sisters; Eldanet Brewer Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, Jean Bryson of Fallbrook, California, Brother; Charles E. Langley of Jacksonville Florida, daughter; Michelle and husband Mike, Fontenot Gehrman of St. Charles, Illinois, grandson; Lee Wilson of London, England, and step-sons; Larry Fontenot of Houston, Texas, and William Covel. Visitation will be at 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Maxie’s Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral home.
