Maxine Hart Hamm, 81, of Houston went to be with her Lord Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was born September 19, 1929 in Moultrie, GA to James and Maggie Hart. Maxine is preceded in death by 1 son Larry Hamm; 6 brothers, and 2 sisters. Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Harry Hamm; 4 children, Linda Lindberg, Emily Kingsbury and husband James, Carol Glen, David Hamm and wife Sylvia; 1 brother, General Hart and wife Doviree; 5 grandchildren, Allison Hamm, John M. Hamm, John Lindberg, Amanda Lindberg, Shelby Staggs; 3 great-grandchildren, Elia, Carmen, Kayden; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be 12:30 PM Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
