Maxine Rosalind Hostetter passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the age of 97. She was born on January 26, 1915 and moved to Miami, FL. in 1924. After being a Miami resident for 79 years, she moved to Cypress, TX. in 2003 to be with her daughter, Donna Frederick for her remaining years. Maxine was a clothing designer, and in her later years taught this craft to many through sewing guilds. Maxine is survived by her son, Kurt Hostetter of Miami, FL; grandson, Jason Frederick and son-in-law, Wayne Frederick, both from Cypress, TX; nieces and nephews, Dr. Grace Mushrush of Newton, Mass, David Mushrush of Alexandria, VA., Eric Hostetter and Erin Branch, both of La Jolla, CA., Viveca Hess of San Diego, CA., Ian Hostetter of Goteborg Sweden, and Gary Ruse of Miami, FL. A Gathering for family and friends will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek in Houston.
