Melissa served as my infusion nurse at Texas Oncology for many, many years. I knew, just like me she too was fighting cancer. We would Share with one another, any new knowledge either of us had acquired, as well.
Melissa was one of the most kindest, calmest, helpful woman anyone I knew.
.
It deeply saddened me today, that she had passed on to be with our Lord, following her 12 year struggle with cancer.
As an 11 year cancer survivor myself, this news shook my spirit. I realized “life is too short” and that each one of us has been given gifts to fulfill God’s Purpose during our journey, while on this earth.
This news was a wake-up call, and hence am now “changing my priorities.”
My heart also goes out to Melissa’s family & friends grieving for losing such a beautiful, sweet spirit of a woman.
My heart goes out to each one of you.
