Melissa Flores Martinez, age 53, of Houston,Texas passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at home with her beloved family after battling breast cancer for 3 years. Melissa was born January 2, 1967 in Downey, CA. to parents John Flores and Alma Benavides Flores.
Melissa is survived by Husband Roland Roberto Martinez; Her Children, AJ Cano, Jennifer S. Gonzalez, Lorenzo R. Martinez, Orlando J. Martinez, Juan R. Martinez, Alma J. Martinez. Siblings; Johnny Flores, Lisa Annette Martinez, Jeanette Flores, J. Anthony Flores, Jason Flores, Juan Isreal Flores, Brandon Flores. Grandchildren; Alazae J. Cano, Ariel J. Cano, Eduardo Gonzalez Jr, Julian J. Martinez, Paul E. Martinez , Aubrie M. Gonzalez.
She is predeceased by her sister (twin), Alissa Flores; her mother, Alma Flores; and her farther, Johnny Flores.
Melissa was a devoted, loving, & caring mother and wife to her family. She was a very spiritual woman who was very family oriented and just enjoyed life itself. A strong, positive, individual always lending a helping hand when and where ever needed. Always giving, in any way possible big or small. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
A committal service for Melissa will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
