Merrill Maynard Meushaw passed away peacefully in his sleep while at University Place Nursing Home on July 5, 2016, at age 95. He was born on December 27, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the US Navy, and then attended University of Texas and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He went on to work in the petroleum engineering field for over 30 years before retiring.
Merrill was preceded in death by his first wife Necil Cotton Meushaw, and daughter, Dianne Meushaw. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Voncile Meushaw, and his daughter, Merrilyn Meushaw.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8th at University Place Community at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tallowood Baptist Church.
