Michael Lefkowitz of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 at age 70 after a 13 year battle with cancer. He was born in Houston on May 7, 1955 to Earl and Ruth Lefkowitz. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Reid; two children, Rachel Abelson and David Lefkowitz; two step-daughters, Brandy Copeland and Sarah Reid; and grandchildren, Zach, Sam, Lena, Zoe, Sienna, Lilly, Tyler, Trey, Liam, Van, and Margaret.
Pops, as his favorite people called him, was known for his kindness, generosity and acceptance of all. He was an avid world traveler; making friends every place he traveled. His love of travel was often paired with his love of music as he would travel all over the globe for concerts. Black jeans and a concert shirt was his outfit of choice. He shared his love of sports with his children and grandchildren, often taking them to Astros games, staying late into the night to get autographs after the games.
A memorial service will be held September 18 at 3:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home, 8303 Katy Freeway.
