Michael J. Long of Katy, Texas, passed away September 1, 2020. He was born in County Limerick, Ireland on June 5, 1933. He came to the united States at age 19. Mike is a graduate of Pace University in New York. He served four years in the US Airforce and retired from Shell Oil Company in 1994 after 40 plus years of service.
He is survived by his three daughters and their families; daughter Mary Sorgenfrei, husband Bill, children Julie and Brian, daughter Kathleen Muldoon and husband Ed, children Kayla, Leighann and Michael, daughter Anne Fickel and husband Keith, child Laura. He is also survived by his brother Seamus, sister-in-law Maureen, 1 niece and 5 nephews.
Mike is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty of 59 years, his parents, his brother Jer and sister Mary.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 11 at 11:00am at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church,
1530 Norwalk Katy, Texas 77450.
