Michael was tender-hearted and compassionate. He made the world a better place.

I offer my heart-felt condolences to Michael’s family.  I met him through Mission Bend United Methodist Church where he would come into the church offices to visit & spread his smiles.  His was a sparkling personality & he took on the role of voluntary “security” with a great love for the campus.  He would often sit in his car composing or walk around making sure everything was good.  His was a reassuring presence and he will be greatly missed! 

I was a friend of Michael’s from Mission Bend United Methodist Church, we so enjoyed having Michael with us.  I always enjoyed seeing him come in on Sunday morning all dressed up and with is cane.  He was a good man.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  You are in my Thoughts, Prayers and Tears.

I just found out about Mike passing today, a friend of mine called and gave me the news. My memory of Mike. Wow! so many to mention. But the best one is, brother man stood up in my wedding.  Mike and I met in xray school, Southwest Memorial Hospital.  School lasted for 2 years, so on a daily basis we would hang out for lunch. Good times after work, Happy Hours.  Getting to know him.  I did meet his wife and son Dustin.  Such fond memories bro, I will miss you.  Love Lives

I first met Michael Marlin at Memorial Southwest Hospital when he was a Senior in x-ray school. I admired Michael because he was so cool and different. When I first walked inside the x-ray room he was sitting on the x-ray table reading.  Michael had long hair, ear ring in his ear long white lab jacket and yes he had on his "Boots".  We became close friends when I started working at Ben taub in Radiology. I gained so much knowledge from Michael in CT/MRI. Michael actually trained me in MRI at LBJ Hospital. Still to this day when its super busy and crazy at work I ask myself, what would Michal do in this situation? Michael was loved by many and will be missed.  Tony Thomas and the Family

Michael was member of my church. He had an unforgettable personality that made everyone stand up and take notice. His love for, and dedication to our church and its surroundings endeared him to us all. We are all so grateful for having known him and his presence in the front row of the Mission Bend Sanctuary  will be missed.
To his wife and extended family, I extend prayers and wishes for peace and God's  blessings on you all.

Michael was a member of Mission Bend of United Methodist Church.  As his Pastor, I got to know him not only as a Pastor, but as a brother.  We shared time together as he parked in the parking lot of the church to listen and write musical notes...as he said...almost daily.  I knew when he was missing on Sunday's, because he sat on the front row to be a sponge to receive all God was giving on that day. I could say a lot, but like most of you...I miss "my brother".

You have my deepest condolences. Mike and I worked together at Ben Taub and he will truly be  missed by many!

We worked together he was my Boss...It’s funny cause we fought all the time because I questioned everything just so he would fuss but he could always depend on me... That was the relationship we had he always knew I was going to do what I wanted even after he would fuss. I will Miss him Rest Easy.

Mike, you will always be in my thoughts as you have touched so many lives including mine. I thank you for introducing me to radiology. I still remember those long hours we worked taking call at Ben Taub Hospital. There are just too many things to mention during life’s journey as we knew it.

Even now I am smiling as I remember the wonderful memories of you pulling in a giant red fish while wearing cowboy boots and listening to Prince 1999. There will never be another person like you, gifted, caring, always happy to give your opinion, but loved by many! I will miss your passion, and that cheerful challenge of a discussion and most of all a great dependable friend.


I offer my prayers and condolences to the family.  Rest in peace, my friend.  You were one of my CT mentors and great co-worker and friend.  I will never forget our many conversations about movies, music and sports.  Everyone that worked with us will never forget our many battles on the Mondays after the Texans  played the Titans.  You got the best of me because the Texans lost a lot. Our many discussions were intense and fun.  These are moments that I will never forget.  Job well done my friend from me and many of the others who life you touched.
