Michael Larry Martin

Michael Larry Martin, born in Houston, Texas on March 10, 1944 passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was a devoted son, a loving husband and soul mate, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy R Martin; his parents, Sammy and Leon Sterns of Crockett, TX, his devoted sons, Steven L Martin, Paul T. Martin and his wife, Amy, and Anthony W. Rutledge and our many other “adopted” children, his granddaughters: Heather King, Kourtnie Shrader and her future husband Justin Poiencot, Leah Martin and Kenzee Martin and our many other “adopted” grandchildren.

Michael was a Lifetime HLSR Committeeman who started off on the Arabian Horse Committee and ended up on Rodeo Express – Team C at Delmar Stadium. He was also a charter and devoted member of the Beefmaster’s Cooking Team since the early 1980’s. He has been a member of Grace Presbyterian Church since 1987.

Michael was a role model to many people.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 3:00 PM at Grace Presbyterian at 10221 Ella Lee at Sam Houston Tollway, Houston, TX 77042 in the Founders Chapel and with be facilitated by Pastor, Michael Fry.
