She was a spirited young woman, always seeing the good in people and in situations. She was a very special person who made a special impact on all who were privileged to know her. She touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness.
Michelle was a God-fearing Christian, who sang with the band, helped with Sunday school and the children.
Michelle was always very optimistic about life, love and friends. Throughout the last 4 years Michelle faced many challenges but with the love and help of many friends and family she pushed through like a champ until her body could no longer.
She found joy in spending time with family and friends. No matter how she felt or what the situation was she was always willing to spend time with people and it not only made herself feel better but others as well. Above all, Michelle’s greatest blessing was her daughter, Mia Grace. Michelle and Mia loved doing projects together, learning and even watching basketball together. She fought with everything she had to be here for Mia, but when her battle became too much, she found peace.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
Michelle is preceded in death by her fathers, Joe David Sanchez & Ramiro Serrata; her mother, Victoriana Serrata; Tio John; Tia Norma; Brothers, Lee and Lonnie.
She is survived by her daughter Mia Grace; sisters, Sandra, Liza, Annie, Jennifer, Christina, Linda, Lydia; brother Larry; and a host of nieces and nephews.
