Michelle Xia Tea
May 18, 1967 – February 5, 2019
Michelle Tea, also known as Little Swallow her pen name, was born in Puning in Guang Dong province, China on May 18, 1967 being the sixth member among the eight siblings in the family. Excelling in wisdom and brilliance. She was loved and appreciated by all her brothers and sisters, and was treated like as a Little Princess. Having graduated from Guang Dong Polytechnic Normal University’s English Department in 1990, thus becoming a teacher of English later on at Puning Secondary School. In 1991 she immigrated to the USA and finding a job at Houston Inter-Continental Airport, she has served as a cash room clerk ever since. Michelle has loved life and been fond of nature, personally optimistic and pursuing progress always, full of stamina and energy, having ever been regarded by her High School class-mates as a care-free and joyful “Little Swallow” Since her Secondary School days, Michelle has found a great delight in writing, being fond of depicting or describing all the wonders of nature, such as flowers or chirping birds, fascinating phenomena of rotation four seasons, warm and sweet home life, conviction and appreciation as she wished. She explained, writing is nothing but let my inner most feelings overflow spontaneously and freely, like as part of blood circulation in my life whenever inspiration comes, she would freely express it as she deems best, not that she ever intended to create some literary masterpiece, but, anyhow in a matter of twenty minutes or so, she would be able to finish her composition, not ever under any pressure at all. Having been married to Billy Tea on December 19, 1993. Michelle has raised one son, William, and one daughter, Jenny, both of them quite clever and knowledgeable, having both accomplished their academic study successfully. Michelle Tea professed her faith in Christ and was baptized in November 18, 2000, joining the Northeast Chinese Baptist Mission which is under the sponsorship of the Second Baptist Church-North Campus; she has been zealously pursuing and studying the Word of God ever since.
