Mildred Laverne Andrews

Mildred Laverne Andrews, age 83, went to the house of The Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Mildred was born on September 8, 1938, in Pittsburg, Texas, to WD and Iona Lloyd. She graduated high school and married her first husband, Bobby Lee Andrews. They had three children, Robert, Philip and Diane.

As a fun-loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend, Mildred treasured her quality time with each and everyone. Younger years were filled with raising kids, church, ball games with her sons and lots of activities. Later in life, she enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and crocheting and anything socially oriented. Bobby passed away in 2007 and later, in 2013, she fell in love again and married her second husband, Dennis Edward Hardie. Mildred loved to tell stories, cook and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always full of love and support for her family. She was a beautiful soul and loved her family, friends, church family and husbands.

Mildred was preceded in death by both her first husband, Bobby Lee Andrews and her second husband, Dennis Edward Hardie.

Mildred is survived by her son Robert Paul Andrews and wife, Tammy Andrews; son Philip Mark Andrews; daughter Diane Lea Andrews; grandchildren Laura Andrews Smallwood, Robert Paul Andrews Jr., Christina Andrews, Jonathan Andrews, Travis Andrews and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her sister, Carol (Polly) Bork Andrews.

A visitation for Mildred will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Tx 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:30 PM, at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Tx 77039. A graveside service will occur, afterwards, at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Tx 77039.
