Mildred Jean Spangler 67, passed away April 3, 2011 and reunited with her parents, Herbert W. and Armenia Threlkeld. Jean worked many years at St. John’s Lutheran Church as the kitchen supervisor and church treasurer and in her later years as the bookkeeper at Shaver Technologies. Her favorite job and passion was being a loving wife and mother. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Claude E. Spangler; daughters: Pam Bourgoyne and husband Troy, Terry Elliott and husband Jason; precious grandchildren: Larry Jones, Joshua Jones and wife Christina, Zachary Elliott; great grandchild, Ayla Jones; brother, Herbert W. Threlkeld, Jr.; sisters: Edith Hartman and Betty Batte; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7th from 5-8pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 8th at 12:30pm in Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
