On July 11, 1957, Miles Dennis Sylvester was born to the proud parents of Odell and Katie M. Sylvester. He confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age. Miles attended Houston Public Schools at James D. Ryan Elementary, Francis Scott Key Junior High, and Sam Houston Senior High Schools. Miles loved cars, and work as a mechanic before starting his own business “MDS Services” as a delivery driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Osie B. Sylvester. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Martha Cebrina Sheperd-Sylvester, one step-son Maurice J. Canton, one step-daughter Burgundy Cebrina Canton, three daughters Denishia T. Nickerson (Jamel), Trica NicKole Sylvester, and Ni’Kendra Alexandra Sylvester, five grandchildren, one sister Lucinda Kossie (Greorge) deceased, one brother Carlton O. Sylvester (Mary), three nieces, seven nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
