Monica was an amazing person with a beautiful soul and was outgoing. She never met a stranger, and found joy in helping others when needed. She stood firm on her beliefs. She was not easily discouraged and always put forth her best effort in all that she did. She was never more than a phone call away and ready to talk to anyone about anything and gave her honest opinion on it. She was there when you just needed a friend, and not a mom; she understood us and never judged. She demonstrated that by being a friend, Mom, and Grandma. She loved her children, all 7 of us, and was the proudest "Baba" to her 5 grandchildren. She was always good for a story, making sure others knew how proud she was of them, and would dote to everyone on her grandchildren. Always pulling out her phone to show pictures of her children and grandbabies. She was the best "Baba" she could be. Her grandchildren could always turn to her whether they wanted a hug or to play. Even on her worst days during her chemotherapy treatments she could be found on the floor playing, or chasing one of them around. Monica received her G.E.D., then went on to Medical Assistant school, but decided to go down a different career path becoming a forklift operator for many different companies including Igloo and Daikin. Loving the fast workflow, learning different aspects of the company, and loving those she worked with. She loved her 1992 Chevy K5 Blazer a.k.a "Old Betsy," and her dogs Nala and Diesel. Those were her babies. One of her favorite hobbies was listening to music. Her favorite styles of music included classic rock, symphonic rock, alternative rock and R&B.
She leaves behind her mother, Victoria Dorsey.
