Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, TK Yim, May L. Yim, and his son, Thomas Yim.
Morgan is survived by his loving wife, Leimei, their daughter Jennifer, and his cherished grandchildren, Spencer, Lucas, and Kelsey. He is also survived by his sister, Marian.
Morgan and Leimei were married on September 20, 1975, in Portland, OR, and their love story was filled with both joy and occasional exasperation. Morgan's unique character and quirks often drove his wife crazy, but their love always prevailed.
Morgan pursued his education at Portland State University, where he honed his skills and passion for software engineering. He served in the US Army for three years, dedicating his time and efforts to his country. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a software engineer, working for various companies until his retirement from Union Pacific in 2012.
Those who knew Morgan will remember him as a man who was always hungry, kind of lazy, and loved taking naps. In his free time, Morgan pursued his hobbies and interests. He often boasted that he could fix anything with duct tape, showcasing his resourcefulness and ingenuity.
He had a deep appreciation for science fiction, whether it was Star Trek, Star Wars, or any other show he could find on the Sci-Fi network. Morgan's favorite drink was Coca Cola, which he enjoyed with great enthusiasm.
A funeral service to honor Morgan's life will be held at Houston National Cemetery, located on Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX, USA. He will be laid to rest in the company of fellow veterans, a fitting tribute to his military service.
Morgan L Yim will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May his memory live on, and may he rest in eternal peace.
An inurnment with military honors for Morgan will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
