Damon Baker Jr., was born on January 30, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Daymon Bacon and Silver Dell Albert. As a young child he was baptized at an early age at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church. He attended public schools including Kashmere Sr. High in Houston I.S.D. Damon was introduced to the love of his life Doris Carter, and was later joined in holy matrimony on January 27, 1977. Damon was later joined in holy matrimony to Joyce Terry in 1997. Damon loved life and the excitement that came with it. The most important thing to him was family. He loved to get together with family and friends. Damon was an excellent cook, he enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends. Damon had a very kind heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He never met a stranger. Damon loved music and was a fantastic dancer. He was the “King of Fashion.” On Saturday, January 13, 2018, Damon heard his name called and an Angel escorted him home to be with our Lord and Savior. He left us with his Love, the memory of his Life and a Legacy for the future. Damon is preceded in death by his mother Silver Dell Albert, and his estranged wife, Joyce Terry Baker. Damon leaves to cherish his precious memories: children, Shermon, La’Trice; two grandchildren: Shamyra and Lyndon; his dad and stepmom: Daymon and Joyce Bacon; Sisters: Valerie Cruickshank, Gwendolyn Smith, and Cindy Colon (Angel); Brother: Daymon Ray Bacon (Sarena); Step-brother: Ricky Qualls (Tammy); Nieces: JaQuetta, Marualina, Kierra, Deja, and Aneras; Nephews: Rodrick, Tyler, Sheldon, Carrington, Draydan, and Dalien; Great-Nephews: Keddrick, Javondrick, Cooper, Christian, Jaeden, Rodrick Jr., and Tyler Jr.; Great-Nieces: Ameera, Reigna, and Ariana; Aunts: Patricia Scott and Phyliss Jarmon; Special Friend: Geneetta Reed, and a host of family and friends.
